Your Role: Project Manager

As Project Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of EU/NATO defence projects, manage client relationships, and ensure the successful delivery of complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.

You’ll lead the design, implementation, and reporting of projects under the EDF and other EU/NATO programmes, working closely with senior decision-makers across the defence ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the technical and administrative implementation of EDF-funded defence projects
  • Coordinate the drafting and submission of competitive EDF project proposals
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of international clients, providing strategic guidance and operational support
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the EU and NATO frameworks
  • Conduct policy analysis and defence market intelligence to inform strategy
  • Plan and coordinate high-level events and workshops with institutional and industry stakeholders
  • Ensure internal reporting is aligned with C&V Defence’s operational methodologies
  • Report directly to the Deputy Director of Operations and oversee junior staff when applicable

 

What we’re looking for

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in defence affairs, international relations, project management, or a related field
  • Proven experience managing EDF, Horizon Europe, or similar EU-funded projects
  • Strong project management and organisational skills under tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and spoken English (C1) – knowledge of other EU languages is a plus
  • Full proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
  • EU nationality (required) and willingness to travel abroad occasionally

Desirable Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of EU/NATO defence procurement processes and stakeholders
  • Understanding of the technical/operational dimensions of defence innovation
  • Experience in consulting, advisory roles, or business development in the defence sector
  • Confident in representing the company at high-level industry and institutional events
  • Results-oriented with the ability to prioritise and make strategic decisions
